The man was with another male, female, and cat when the cat jumped in the lake and he went in after it going under the water.     One man was killed Thursday morning in a house fire in Whiting, Indiana. Whiting police on patrol noticed smoke from the home on the 1200 block of 121st and notified a fire captain. Fire officials arrived and pulled 57-year-old Alan Lewandowski from the living room, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. Neighbors said the man lives alone.
