  • 2 found dead in Little Village auto shop

    CHICAGO — Two men were found shot to death inside an auto shop in Little Village on Saturday. The men were found inside Auto Body Castenada’s just before 6 p.m. Saturday. The shop is in the 3300 block of South Lawndale Avenue. Both men were pronounced dead at the scene. Police aren’t releasing the men’s ages.     23-year-old Caleb Stevens left his home in Michigan to fight against ISIS in Syria, but not for the U.S Army, but as a volunteer.     NOAA’s specialized Gulfstream IV hurricane hunter jet , nicknamed “Gonzo,” has been flying into the face of Hurricane Maria. “Gonzo” is no ordinary aircraft.   • 911 call released of Hobart father who accidentally shot, killed his daughter

    HOBART, Ind. — A man from Indiana is set to appear in court Wednesday for accidentally shooting and killing his 9-year-old daughter. 911 audio tapes were just released, revealing the frantic and painful moments following the shooting. The father, Erick Hummel, made the call from his home immediately after the accident on June 10th.  Hummel told investigators he was teaching gun safety to his sons and didn’t realize it was loaded.
