    CHICAGO —  Kris Bryant’s solo blast in the fifth inning of today’s game against the the Arizona Diamondbacks set the record for the MLB’s longest home run of the season. He launched his home an estimated 495 ft., and it may have gone even farther if it didn’t hit the Wrigley Field scoreboard. The Cubs started Bryant in left field today, filling in for Kyle Schwarber who is out with a mild rib cage strain.
