    CHICAGO — The Chicago Bears have signed first-round draft pick Roquan Smith, the No. 8 overall section in April’s NFL Draft. “We’re looking forward to Roquan joining our team and getting him prepared for the 2018 season,” Bears general manager Ryan Pace said.     KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Javier Baez went deep, Cole Hamels pitched six strong innings and the Chicago Cubs beat the Kansas City Royals 3-1 on Monday night. Baez hit the first pitch from reliever Kevin McCarthy (4-4) in the sixth inning to center for his 25th home run, putting the Cubs ahead 2-1.   • Coaches and teammates in Canton for Urlacher HOF Induction

    Brian Urlacher became the 28th Chicago Bear to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Saturday night.  Urlacher’s speech lasted about 20 minutes and he touched on family, his teammates and his love of football. Dozens of former teammates and coaches were there for Urlacher’s speech and they talked about made Number 54 such a great player and teammate.
