Ji Suk Yi is co-host of Spotlight Chicago airing at 3 p.m. each weekday on WGN-TV.
Most recently, Ji was with NewsNation as a digital anchor, a host on WGN Radio and served as a fill-in host on WGN-TV’s “Daytime Chicago.” Prior to that, Ji was a contributing host on ABC 7 Chicago’s talk show “Windy City LIVE” for seven seasons. She also hosted the Chicago Sun-Times digital series “The Grid” that explored Chicago neighborhoods and restaurants, along with writing entertainment and lifestyle features.
A life-long food enthusiast, Ji is thrilled to have called one of the best food cities in the world, Chicago, home since 2006 and was honored to host the virtual 2020 James Beard Awards. A native of western North Carolina, Ji is a first-generation immigrant and first to graduate college and law school in her family.
