A woman named Rachel Mitchell posted several photos on Facebook of a policeman, identified by the Chicago Police Department as Sergeant B.     The son of the world’s most wanted fugitive may have tweeted a clue to his dad’s whereabouts. A twitter account associated with the name “Alfredo Guzman” tweeted a picture of himself with two men whose faces are partially obscured. The man on the left side of the picture appears to be Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman, the infamous Mexican drug lord once named “Chicago’s public enemy number one” because of his ties to the Chicago drug market.   • Woman fatally shot in Woodlawn

    CHICAGO — A woman is dead after a drive-by shooting in Woodlawn. She was attending a party around 1:30 Sunday morning at 61st and South Cottage Grove Avenue, behind the Grant affordable housing complex. Several people were standing in the alley when someone shot at them from a passing car, hitting the woman, 19, in the head. She was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead. Police are still investigating. No one is in custody.

  • Tamara Sword funeral to take place today

    CHICAGO — The funeral for the daughter of community activist Andrew Holmes is scheduled to take place today. Tamara Sword, 28, was shot and killed at an Indianapolis gas station last month. She was an innocent bystander caught in a gun fight between two groups of people. Police found more than 45 shell casings at the scene. A visitation for her took place Friday at Calahan Funeral Home.     CHICAGO — A man accused of running a dog-fighting operation out of his South Side home is set to appear in court today. Clifford McNeil, 43, faces eight felony counts of aggravated cruelty to animals, two felony counts of dog fighting, 16 misdemeanor counts of animal owner duties violation and eight misdemeanor counts of cruelty to animals.     CHICAGO — One person was killed and two others injured in a drive-by shooting in the North Austin neighborhood. It happened around 11:20 Friday night with the 1600 block of North Mayfield.     WILLOWBROOK, Ill. — Police in Willowbrook, Ill., are searching for the man who stabbed, beat and sexually assaulted a woman in her west suburban home Saturday night. More than 50,000 people have visited the Chicago Botanic Garden hoping to witness the rare event of the corpse flower, formally known as titan arum, blooming, as well as to smell its rotten stench.
