Brónagh Tumulty joined the WGN News team in July of 2020 as a general assignment reporter.
Prior to WGN-TV, Tumulty spent two and a half years reporting for KUTV in Salt Lake City, Utah. She also spent several years reporting at the News 12 Network in New York and as a producer at KTVT in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Tumulty started her reporting career in Ireland, where she was born and raised.
Brónagh earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Liverpool and her M.A. in Broadcast Journalism at the University of Sheffield in England.
Tumulty is an avid traveler who started her early career teaching English in Seoul, South Korea. She travelled all over Asia and then South America, before spending several months living in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
