Man rescued after jumping into Lake Michigan

CHICAGO — Rescue crews were called Saturday morning after a man jumped into Lake Michigan and couldn't get to shore.

It happened around 10:30 a.m. near the Gold Coast neighborhood.

The Chicago Police Marine Unit and lifeguards from the park district came in to help.

The man was taken to Northwestern University Hospital.
