Strangers help brighten Christmas for homeless community living under the Kennedy

CHICAGO – Christmas found its way to a homeless encampment under a busy Chicago expressway, thanks to the generosity of strangers.

Monday, those living under the Kennedy Expressway near Roosevelt Road received gifts and greetings.

Community activist Andrew Holmes helped deliver the gifts that were donated from non-profits and churches.
