Most of the remaining Carson’s stores are closing Wednesday.

It marks the end of a 160- year Chicago mainstay.

Liquidation sales started in April when parent company Bon-Ton failed to find a buyer to keep the business going.

While most of the stores close Wednesday, some will stay open until its last items sell.

But company wide, the liquidation sale is expected to come to an end by Friday.
