Illinois woman injured by lightning strike at Country Thunder Music Festival

KENOSHA, Wis. —The Kenosha County Sheriff's Department says a woman attending the Country Thunder Wisconsin Music Festival in Twin Lakes has been seriously injured by a lightning strike.

Sheriff's officials say it happened about 12:30 a.m. Friday at the festival's campground. The woman was transported to Northern Illinois Medical Center for treatment.

Authorities identified the woman as a 22-year-old Brittney Prehn, from Illinois. No hometown was provided.
