3 officers injured in building fire on Northwest Side

CHICAGO -- Three Chicago police officers were injured while trying to help people escape from a burning building on the Northwest Side.

The fire broke out just before 11 p.m. Wednesday at a building at Fullerton and Pulaski in the Belmont Gardens neighborhood.

The three officers were taken to Resurrection Hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation.

No other injuries were reported.
