SKOKIE, Ill. -- Runners of all ages showed up for the Race for Humanity 5K in north suburban Skokie on Sunday.

WGN's Lauren Jiggetts was the event's emcee.

The run supports the work of the Illinois Holocaust Museum and Education Center.

It's meant to draw attention to the museum's mission to empower people to speak out against hatred, prejudice, and indifference.

Organizers say more than 300 people participated in the event.
