Boy, 12, critically injured after West Side shooting
CHICAGO – A 12-year-old boy was injured after he was shot in the East Garfield Park neighborhood.
The shooting happened around 9:20 p.m. in the 3300 block of West Madison Street.
The 12-year-old boy was on the sidewalk when a man got into an argument with a woman and started shooting into a crowd. The boy was hit in his abdomen and taken to Stroger Hospital.
A 23-year-old man was also shot in his arm. He is in stable condition.
No one is in custody.
A few hours later, two other people were shot in the same apartment complex.
