* Yoan Moncada may miss a few days with a lingering hamstring injury. When in there this season, he has shown some pop from the leadoff spot with six home runs this year, trailing only Mookie Betts (13) and Charlie Blackmon (7) in most HRs from the leadoff spot. The White Sox have seven home runs from the leadoff spot this season, tied with the Rangers for the third-most in baseball (Red Sox, 13; Rockies, 10).

* Brian Dozier is hoping that his 3-for-5 showing last night can help him out of the slump he has been in since his hit streak (24-game hit streak dating back to 2017, including the first 17 games of 2018) was snapped on April 24. Dozier got a hit in each of the first 17 games of the season, the longest hitting streak to start a season in Twins/Senators franchise history since Sam Rice started the 1930 season with a 28-game hit streak.

*Lance Lynn’s ERA jumped from 3.43 last season to 8.37 this season, the largest increase among all qualified starters last season (minimum 20 IP this season).

* Hector Santiago will make his second start after starting the season in the bullpen. In 15 starts since 2017, he’s pitched well in the first two innings (3.60 ERA)but struggled after that (6.55 ERA).
