CHICAGO — If you want an immersive entertainment experience, look no further than Oakbrook Center.

Escape The Room will launch its newest locale there Friday. Teams are locked in a room with a series of clues and puzzles; each team must work together to escape within 60 minutes.

For roughly $30 a person, guests  can choose to be locked in a puppet theater, archeological dig site, submarine or nuclear power plant — to name a few.

Visitors must be 12 or older with an adult, or 15 or older to play alone. Tickets are available online.

The company has spent roughly $1 million renovating its Oakbrook facility. It's a welcome addition to the shopping center as more and more brick-and-mortar stores are closing.
