CHICAGO -- Say it ain't snow! Another round of wintry weather is on the way Wednesday. It's hardly a huge storm but a chilly rain or a rain/snow mix will gradually shift to all snow by evening.

A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for 1 p.m. Wednesday until 1 a.m. Thursday in northern Illinois counties along and adjacent to Wisconsin. Illinois counties under the advisory are McHenry, Lake and Ogle. Wisconsin counties under the advisory are Kenosha, Walworth and Racine.

Most areas will end up with about an inch accumulation but areas north near the Wisconsin border could see 2-3".

This may very well be Mother Nature's parting shot for Winter 2017-18.  A pattern change beginning this weekend  will bring slow warming  that could crescendo into a series of 60 degree days next week!
