CHICAGO --  A Winter Weather Advisory in parts of the Chicago-area made for a messy commute.

Multiple crashes were reported in Cook, Lake, DuPage, Kane and Will Counties in Illinois, as well as in northwest Indiana.

Temperatures in the mid to upper 20 allowed accumulations of 1 to 2-inches.  The most accumulation was in counties generally along and north of Interstate 90, but there will be at least a dusting of snow with spotty slick spots in areas a little farther south along and north of Interstates-88/290.

Temperatures should warm into mid and upper 30s, melting much of the snow, so that travel conditions will improve significantly later this Monday morning.
