CHICAGO — Monday night’s game between the Chicago Cubs and St. Louis Cardinals at Wrigley Field has been postponed due to the forecast for inclement weather throughout the day and wind chills in the 20s this evening.

The game will be made-up on Saturday, July 21, as the first game of a split doubleheader at Wrigley Field. The make-up game will be played at 12:05 p.m. and will be followed by the regularly scheduled night game at 6:15 p.m.

Separate tickets will be required for each game. Tickets to Monday night’s game at Wrigley Field will be honored for the 12:05 p.m. makeup game on July 21. No ticket exchange is necessary.

On this day in 1948, WGN-TV broadcast its very first Chicago Cubs game. So from 7-9 p.m., we’ll celebrate 70 years of Cubs baseball with special remembrances, clips and more.
