Police release video of Lincoln Park stabbing suspect

CHICAGO — The Chicago Police Department on Saturday released surveillance footage of a suspect in a recent Lincoln Park stabbing.

According to authorities, a 21-year-old woman was stabbed near Webster and Wayne avenues about 11 p.m. Tuesday. The victim had just gotten off work at Kohl’s and was walking toward the CTA Red Line to go home. A man she didn’t know grabbed her from behind, put her in a choke hold and began stabbing her.

Police said the woman was not robbed. Her injuries were not life-threatening.
