Police investigating after multiple people shot in Riverdale

RIVERDALE, Ill. -- Police are looking for suspects in the shooting of three people in this south suburb just over the Chicago border.

The shooting happened around 9:30 p.m. Thursday near 138th and Wallace.

Police say several people were standing in the driveway of a home when two or three men approached the group and fired shots.

Two people were critically wounded and taken to Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn where they are reported to be in stable condition.

A third victim was treated at a hospital for a minor gunshot wound.

The gunmen then ran off.

Police say they don't know what the motive was for the shooting.
