74-year-old man wounded in police shooting in Lake County, Ind.

CEDAR LAKE, Ind. — A man was wounded in a police-involved shooting in Lake County, Indiana, on Friday.

Police were called to the man’s home in the 7100 block of 132nd Place around 1:30 p.m. for a medical emergency.

Upon arrival, the man, who is 74 years old, exited his home holding a gun and pointed it at police.

The man was taken to the hospital.

His condition is not yet known.
