1 injured after driver of SUV loses control, slams into parked cars

CHICAGO -- One person was injured after the driver of an SUV said he lost control of the vehicle and slammed into several parked cars.

The crash happened on the 2900 block of West Addison Street Tuesday afternoon in the Addison Mall on the city's North Side.

The driver of a green Chevrolet Tahoe said the vehicle accelerated, got away from him and went out of control and smashed into other vehicles.

A pedestrian was transported to Illinois Masonic Medical Center. Their condition is unknown.

There may have been a second patient, but officials have not confirmed that information.
