Local chef takes time to give back to students in the kitchen

He has a full plate running a restaurant and catering business.   But local chef Cliff Rome makes time to teach kids the ins and outs of the restaurant and hospitality industry.

Rome has trained alongside renowned chef Wolfgang Puck and worked in some of the world’s finest restaurants.   But it may be his latest endeavor that makes him most proud.

Rome is involved in a culinary arts program “Before The Plate.”  It introduces the basics of cooking to students and various aspects of the restaurant business.

Chef Cliff Rome is one of Chicago’s Very Own.
