2 children who were part of Amber Alert found safe

MARKHAM, Ill. – Two suburban children who were subject of an Amber Alert have been found safe.

Police in Markham said the two children are at the police station.

The alert was issued for the 2-year-old and 3-year-old Wednesday.

Their mother was shot and killed at a gas station.

The children’s father is considered a person of interest.
