NORTH UTICA, Ill. -- No injuries were reported after firefighters put out a five-alarm at North Utica at Grizzly Jack's Grand Bear Resort Tuesday morning.
Emergency crews were first called to the massive at about 5:30 a.m., and the resort was evacuated.
Officials say the fire was in the water park area. People walking by reported flames coming from the lodge.
The Utica Fire Department asked salt trucks to help because of all the ice at the scene. Multiple fire departments in the area also helped out.
The fire was under control by about 9 a.m. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
The resort opened in 2005 and is Illinois' first indoor waterpark.
