CHICAGO — The Chicago Riverwalk will reopen today after being closed due to flooding.

The river overflowed downtown banks after record-breaking rainfall last weekend.

City crews spent Monday power washing and cleaning a thick layer of mud left behind after the water receded.

Chicago received about four inches of rain in a 24-hour period.
