CHICAGO — The Cubs released the roster for the National League Championship Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Shortstop Corey Seager has been left off the Dodgers’ roster. The surprise omission is due to a back injury.

Los Angeles also dropped reliever Pedro Baez from its roster. Infielder Charlie Culberson and outfielder Joc Pederson were added.

Chicago made only one change from the last playoff round, adding reliever Hector Rondon and removing reliever Justin Wilson.

Jose Quintana will be the Cubs starting pitcher for Game 1.

The Cubs take on the Los Angeles Dodgers starting Saturday. Game 1 is at 7 p.m.
