Melanoma is NOT just skin cancer. It can develop anywhere on the body (nose, mouth, nails, eyes, scalp, etc.). You can’t always just “cut it out”. Today, nearly 1 million people live with melanoma in the U.S., and many of these cases can be prevented by being safe and smart in the sun and avoiding tanning beds.
