3 found dead in Joliet home day after party

JOLIET, Ill. -- Three people were found dead in a house in Joliet, a day after a party at the location.

Joliet police were notified about a death investigation on Thursday and arrived at the home around 3 p.m. to discover the bodies of three individuals shot to death inside the residence.

The police believe the shooting took place overnight at the party. They informed the public that this is not considered a random act and they believe the victims and those responsible are acquainted.

The neighbors said they were aware that a party was taking place Wednesday night.

Police are unable to release the identities of the victims at this time.

The investigation is ongoing and the police are seeking the public's help in identifying all the individuals in attendance at the party.
