Chicago police investigating string of burglaries in Jefferson Park

CHICAGO -- Chicago police are investigating a string of residential burglaries in the city's Jefferson Park neighborhood.

At least half a dozen burglaries have been reported since July 13.

Most happened during the day and early evening hours.

Police urge residents to make sure all doors and windows are locked, and pay special attention to any suspicious people loitering in the area.
