Fires in Harvey may have been intentionally started, police, witnesses say

HARVEY, Ill. -- Emergency crews responded to a 4-alarm fire in suburban Harvey, Ill. Friday afternoon.

The first fire was located at 14631 Halsted.

Authorities said witness say they saw a man start the fire then took off running. While firefighters were responding, calls were coming in for another fire.

One firefighter suffered a sprained ankle during the incident.

Arson investigators are now in Harvey and police are reviewing surveillance video and questioning several people.

The investigation is ongoing.
