CHICAGO — The FBI is trying to find one of its vehicles that was stolen in the West Loop.

In a statement, Special Agent John Althen said the white 2014 Chevrolet Equinox was stolen from the 300 block of South Morgan Street at about 1 a.m. Monday.
A 32-year-old agent stopped to get gas and left the car running. That's when somebody jumped in and drove off with guns inside and bullet proof vest.

The Chicago Police Department radioed a warning to officers just in case they pulled the car and driver over.

The gas station manager said he was asked by the FBI not to share security footage from cameras there.
Also, there are signs advising drivers not to leave their cars running.

A woman who lives nearby is worried the guns are going to be on the street.

"Of all people he should know better. Those guns are going to be on the street and could be used to hurt or kill someone if were up to me I would fire him," she said.

Althen asks that anyone with information should contact the FBI or the Chicago Police Department.
