Free coffee today for transit riders

CHICAGO — Today is “Dump the Pump” Day, a celebration of using mass transit and leaving cars behind.

It also means free coffee.

During Thursday morning’s rush, Ventra card users and Metra riders can get a free cup of coffee. It’s called “Coffee from Cubic” which is the company behind Ventra.

They’ll have coffee trucks at the following locations:

  • Northwest Transportation Center in Schaumburg
  • CTA Roosevelt Station
  • Ogilvie Transportation Center
  • Union Station
