Monday marks the 50th anniversary of the landmark Supreme Court ruling which ended the ban on interracial marriage.

But the Virginia couple whose love prompted that ruling, were not the only ones fighting to be together.

WGN News spoke to some Chicagoans who faced the same prejudice and legal obstacles.
