PORTLAND, Tenn. — A flash flood led to an unusual rescue method in Tennessee.

As 10′ of water overtook a couple’s home, they were forced to climb up onto the roof.

The couple called their daughter and said their cars were floating away. Without a boat, their son-in-law used whatever was handy to rescue them.

So he connected his surfboard to a small boat and paddled out to their rescue.
