Ike reopens at Kedzie after shooting investigation

CHICAGO — All lanes on the Eisenhower Expressway have reopened at Kedzie after an earlier shooting incident.

Illinois State Police shut down all inbound lanes on I-290 from Independence to California to investigate a shooting that occurred near Kedzie around 1:30 p.m., police confirm.

According to the ISP, a witness observed two vehicles traveling eastbound shooting at each other on the Ike around 1:20 p.m. Monday.

There are no reported victims at this time.

Police ask anyone with knowledge of the shooting to contact them at 847-294-4400.
