LAKE FOREST, Ill. – The Bears bolstered their defensive front Friday, signing nose tackle John Jenkins to a one-year contract.

Jenkins split time between Seattle and New Orleans last year.

He started only one of the nine games he played in 2016, recording just 13 tackles.

Jenkins originally entered the league with the Saints in 2013, when he was drafted with the 82nd overall pick out of Georgia.
