Threatening phone call prompts evacuation at Lake County Government Center in Indiana

CROWN POINT, Ind. — The Lake County Government Center in Crown Point, Ind., has been evacuated following a threatening phone call.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the call came in about noon to the Lake County Prosecutors Office.

All civilian personnel were evacuated while a search was conducted.

The building is home to the lake county sheriffs office, courthouse and several other government offices.

It will remain closed until further notice.
