Woman fatally shot near school, 6th person dead in violent Chicago weekend

CHICAGO -- A violent weekend in Chicago, six people were killed by gun violence. More than 40 people were wounded.

One victim was found dead,  shot in the head, near Spencer School in the Austin neighborhood.   The body was found Monday around 2 a.m. near Maypole and Lavergne.

The victim's name has not been released but police say she is black and around 25-years-old.

Parents dropping their children off at school this morning were concerned because the body was found just steps away from the playground.

Police are knocking on neighbors doors looking for any information.  Right now they do not have a motive and no arrests have been made.
