ARLINGTON, Va — About 26,000 volunteers were at Arlington National Cemetery to lay wreaths on all the headstones this weekend.
It’s part of the work done by the non-profit Wreaths Across America. They deliver 1.2 million wreaths to participating memorial and cemeteries across the country. Organizers say they are not decorating the graves, but remembering the fallen and honoring those that serve.
This year marks the 25th year that wreaths have been placed Arlington National Cemetery. According to CBN News, 245,000 Christmas wreaths were laid at tombstones at Arlington.
