CHICAGO-- Preliminary work officially started last month on the new bridge, the Cumberland Flyover, and here’s what you’ll see when it’s done.

If you’re coming in on 90 and need to get to Cumberland-- instead of going across all lanes of traffic, you’ll hop on the flyover bridge over the blue line and over 190-- and then travel along the south side of the Kennedy to Cumberland.

The bridge is expected to be done in the fall of 2018.

In October, they also announced that they’re going to be adding a right lane to the inbound Kennedy from Cumberland to Harlem--- that will be done next fall.
