Bird strike grounds plane at Midway Airport

CHICAGO — A Southwest plane struck a bird and was forced to return to Midway Airport Thursday morning.

Flight #105 was headed to Las Vegas when it happened. The plane landed back at Midway at 10:09 a.m., and its new departure time is 12:35 p.m. The plane is scheduled to arrive three hours late in Las Vegas.

All 164 customers and six crew members are safe. No injuries were reported.
