KENNEWICK, Wash. -- An Army veteran and school bus driver in Washington is getting praise for a very good deed.

A 6-year-old got on John Lunceford's bus without gloves, crying from the cold, so he gave the kid his own gloves to keep warm.

After he took the kids to school, he went to a store and bought enough hats and gloves for all of the kids on his bus who needed them.

The Kennewick School District shared his story on Facebook, where it's been liked more than 12,000 times.

“I’m a grandfather, you know,” Lunceford said. “No one wants a kid to suffer like that.”
