AMARILLO, Texas — So imagine you’re standing in line with your kids to see Santa, when someone screams out, “Santa Claus does not exist!”

That’s exactly what happened at a Texas mall when a pastor decided to go on an anti-Santa rant in front of a line of children waiting to see Kris Kringle.

Evangelical pastor David Grisham filmed himself at the Westgate Mall in Amarillo, Texas as he shouted out, “Kids, I wanted to tell you today that there is no such thing as Santa Claus.”

Grisham said he wanted to tell children the “truth” about Santa and that “the Christmas season is about Jesus.” He said parents need to stop lying to their children by telling them that Santa Claus is real.

He then posted the video to his Facebook page Saturday.

According to The Washington Post, Grisham has been shouting his sermons at people across the county for nearly a decade.

“Don’t lie to your children and tell them there’s such a thing as Santa, when you know in reality that there are no flying reindeer, there is no workshop at the North Pole — that you buy all the gifts and put them under the tree.”

Several parents ended out confronting him, asking him to stop.

“I got my kids over there, we don’t need you coming over here blabbing whatever the hell you’re blabbing,” one upset parent can be heard saying in the video.

Shoppers expressed their anger on the mall’s Facebook page saying that “the Westgate Mall should have David Grisham banned.” The mall manager told CNN, “absolutely we would tell him to leave if he did this thing again.”

The pastor says he’s planning to do the same things at other malls.
