Person removed from CTA Red Line tracks, transported to hospital

CHICAGO — The Chicago Fire Department removed a person from the CTA Red Line tracks near 69th Street Thursday morning.

It’s not clear if the person fell or was hit, but the person was transported to Stroger Hospital in critical condition.

During the incident, CTA Red Line service was temporarily suspended between Garfield and 95th. The CTA tweeted that service is now restored but that commuters should expect delays and allow for more travel time.
