CHICAGO -- Now in its 8th year, the Santa Hustle 5K run at Soldier Field has grown to 4,000 strong. People just love dressing up.

"I love Christmas and wanted to get in the spirit and run with hundreds of other Santas," said runner Kristen Isom.

It's a sight to see thousands of red Santa hats, some people also wearing beards and other festive outfits, like a Christmas sweater built for two. And the fun just keeps going on the actual race course.

"We have cookie stations on the course, candy stations on the course, everyone that finishes gets a great big 5K finisher medal," said Santa Hustle Executive Director Aaron Del Mar.

Another reason to feel good about today's Santa Hustle: a portion of the proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society. The hustle has hit the road, and it is now in 8 other cities besides Chicago.
