LOS ANGELES – Chicago Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews is sitting out his second straight game of the season with an upper-body injury.

Toews was hurt during Wednesday’s game at San Jose.

Head coach Joel Quenneville had hoped to get Toews back in the lineup tonight after he missed yesterday’s game against Anaheim.

The three-time Stanley Cup champion has four goals and eight assists this season.

The Blackhawks will also be without Jordin Tootoo when they take on the Kings tonight.

Tootoo suffered a lower-body injury in yesterday’s 3-2 win over the Ducks.

You can see tonight’s game from Los Angeles on WGN at 9:30.
