CHICAGO -- A legendary Chicago restaurant will be closing its doors for good.

The Drake Hotel announced that New Year's Eve will be the final dinner service at the Cape Cod Room. It has been in operation for 83 years.

The hotel is redesigning its entire Arcade Level.

Not everything will go. The ChicagoTribune's Phil Vettel reports they will save the wooden bar that Joe DiMaggio and Marilyn Monroe carved their initials into when they were newlyweds.
