Demaryius Thomas talks with Jimmy Butler on Facetime on November 22nd.

DENVER – Technology can be a wonderful thing sometimes. Especially when it comes to one athlete introducing fans to another who can’t be there.

That was the case in Denver Tuesday with Bulls forward Jimmy Butler and Broncos tight end Demaryius Thomas. The athletes are friends and were in the same city on Tuesday as Butler’s Bulls faced the Nuggets.

But due to time constraints, Butler wasn’t able to make it to Thomas’ appearance at the Denver Boys and Girls Club. Yet thanks to a cell phone and some good signal, the Bulls’ star was able to surprise a few kids on Tuesday.

Butler joined Thomas via FaceTime on the phone to greet a couple of fans at the Boys and Girls Club.

The video posted on Twitter by the Denver Broncos “Off The Field” account didn’t show Butler for more than a few seconds, but you can see his trademark hair in the phone as he waves to the kids.

In the ten second video the kids were pretty pumped up and maybe that got Butler fired up, too. On Tuesday against the Nuggets the forward continued his strong start to the season as he led the Bulls with 35 points.
